Presence and Focus

Intensive Acting Workshop

Workshop leader: Tina Rosner

December 1-5, 2014

Tokyo, Japan

This special workshop gives an opportunity for the participants to experience and improve the fundamental elements of focused onstage presence:

the actor’s sense of space;

the relation to the other;

the importance of reaction;

the difference between rhythm and tempo;

the dynamics of status in a situation;

the relation between awareness, silence and tension.

The main goal is to enhance the awareness and focus of the actor, as it is directly linked to the strong onstage presence. These skills, these elements of acting are necessary in every type of theatre - therefore, the workshop is useful for amateur or professional actors, dancers, performing artists as well.
